- There is a well in Clonoulty and it is called St John's well. There is a cure in it and when people visit it they leave something after them such as a rag or a button
- If a person went into another one's house and if they were churning butter in that house that person would have to churn some of the butter or the people of the house would say that she came to take some of it away.
