    agreement by striking hands and spitting. When the animals are sold they are marked with a red pencil or the hair is clipped with a scirrors on the side and they are also marked with mud. When a horse is sold the buyer gets luck and when selling cattle the halter is kept. There is only one fair held in Borrisoleigh every year it is held on the 27th November. There is no special day for the sale of sheep and horses. There is a market held in Borrisoleigh every Wednesday for the sale of pigs.
