    In Egan's field near Carrig there is a fort and in it there is a tunnel...

    In Egan's field near Carrig there is a fort and in it there is a tunnel, no one would pass through that field at midnight. One nigh a man happened to be out after midnight and he had to cross this field to get home. He was pushed back. He tried again and still he was not let, then he looked and he saw a lot of little men hurling with little red and white caps. In another field in the same locality there is another fort, and several people have heard very sad music from it, when some one is to die.
    About three miles from Carrig there is an estate called Gurteen. On this estate there are many smooth surfaced stones. Among them
