    Some years ago it was heard that [a?] big quantity of gold was hidden
    a heather clad hill in Ahane. [A?] certain man committed a crime an[d?] was hiding from the Law. It happ[ened?] that he sat down at the spot where the gold was hidden. He noticed that [the?] place was dug up before so he bega[n?] to dig. He at length came to a fli[nt?] stone and began to pull it, as [he?] did the wall at the other end began to give way and he thought it was somebody (flo) fol[lowing?] him, so he ran away and sinc[e?] then the place was never found.
