  1. A boy from the village of Castleconnell dreamt three nights in succession about gold that was hidden on the old Castle He went to a fortune-teller soon after and she explained his dreams. She also told him to go to the Castle and to roll back a certain stone inside which there was a cave. Out of this cave there would fly at him a goose. If he went against the goose and dug he would meet a dog which was guarding the treasure. Soon after he would have the gold in his possession. The boy went to the Castle as he was told. He had no difficulty in finding the entrance to the cave but when the goose flew out against him he got afraid and ran away. There was no trace of the gold since then.
