  1. The farm animals are cows, horses, sheep, pigs and calves. The animals have got no names. When driving the cows in and out the people say "How! How! How!". There are bales in the cowhouses to tie the cows when the farmer is milking them. The cows are tied by the horns or neck. The tyings are homemade. There is a branch of holly hung in the cowhouse at Christmas to bring luck on the stock.
The various calls for the animals are for the horse Pre! Pre! Pre!, the calves Suck! Suck! Suck!, the turkey "bea! bea! bea!. The hen tuck! tuck! tuck!.
