  1. The local fairs are held at Old Pallas, Cappamore, Cappawhite and Hospital.
    Buyers often transact at crossroads and at farmers' houses. There is a great fair held every year in Ballybrood Co. Limerick. the fairs are held in a field called "Fair Green". When an animal is sold "luck money" is given.
    There is a special fair held for sheep and bonhams. There is a fair in Old Pallas on 24th November and on the 1st January . There is no fair held in the county Limerick on Saturday. The bargain is made by striking hands.
    There is no fair held in Limerick on Saturday. If the date of the fair falls on Saturday the fair is held on the following Monday.
