  1. I live in the townland of Linfield in the parish of Pallasgreen in the Barony of Coonagh.
    There are ten families in the townland of Linfield. There are 52 persons living at present in the townland. There are four families who own land but do not live there. The most common name in the townland was Kirby as at one time it was nearly all Kirbys who lived there.
    There is one house thatched and another half thatched and half slated and all the rest are slated.
    There are three old people over seventy years living in Linfield. I do not belief that they can tell stories of speak any Irish.Maurice kirbyJane kirby and Margaret Hourigan are over seventy years of age.
