About 90 years ago there lived in Brackbawn a sloicitor named Fitzgibbon.

    (continued from previous page)
she also was seen at night haunting the property at Brackbawn.
At that time farmers had no harrows in this locality but they could be got on loan from the merchants in Mitchelstown. A farmer named Lynch had land adjoining Fitzgibbon. One day he had the loan of a harrow. It seems that the harrow would be only given for the day and should be returned before the next. The work Lynch had to do was not finished in the day, and he was wondering what to do. A workman of his volunteered to continue and finish it during the night. They tole him couldn't do it on account of the Fitzgibbon woman being going round. He would not be put off and did the work and the woman went up and down by the boundary fence until after 12 oclock.
Several others in this locatlity saw her too.
