    There is a big deep pond on Mr Irwin's farm Feenagh, called "Poll Out". It is so called because it is very deep and black looking.
    There is a wide turn between Kells and Mondellihy called "Cúinne Pedlar" It is said that there was a pedlar killed there in former times, and that is how it goes its name.
