    it is a sign that the day will be wet, and if there is a rainbow in the sky in the evening, it is a sign that the next day will be fine. There is a old proverb connected with it
    "A rainbow in the morning is a shepherds warning
    "A rainbow at night is the shepherds delight.
    If the smoke goes up straight it is a sign that the day will be fine, and if it goes up crooked it is a sign that the day will be wet.
