    and to Fr. Casey answering said "She was the lucky girl. Mostly all members of the football team are now dead but there are still a few remaining in Abbeyfeale yet, Denis McCarthy, (R) Paddy Moloney and Jerry Healy. Fr. Casey died in September 1907 and he was buried in front of his own confession box. There is a bronze image in the square in remembrance of him. In his hand he holds a book and his finger is pointing (th) straight out. All round the monument there is an iron railing to prevent anything from going near it.
