- Long ago there lived a man and he used to drink a lot of porter. One day he went to newcastle to sell a load of bogdeal. Bogdeal was very dear at that time and he made a good price of it. He went into a public house and he stayed there all the day long until he had all his money spent. It was very late when he was coming home, and he had a very long journey to go. He said when he was gone along ways the road a big funeral passed him and he got a great fright for he was a very nervous man.
