  1. Long ago there was a woman going around the country by the name of Sprid na Bearnan.
    There was a priest living in the same parish where the Sprid was and one night he was told to look for Sprid na Bearnan and he was told to carry some servant boy with him. As they were going along the road the priest told the servant boy not to be afraid and when they were gone a long ways the priest asked the servant boy did he see anything remarkable in the road and the boy said he saw nothing only a small box and the priest said (he saw nothing) that was the very thing he was looking for. When they touched the box out jumped Sprid na Bearnan and she made for them to kill
