  1. In olden days when a person had a toothache he caught a frog, cut off his head and poured the frog's blood into the troublesome tooth to cure the ache.
    When children had the thrush, a gander's bill was pushed down the sick child's throat & the gander was made screech. This effected a cure.
    The cow's breath made delicate babies strong and healthy.
    Rounds were paid at holy well to cure sore eyes and the eyes bathed in the well-water.
    Again the fasting spit was also rubbed on the sore eyes in the form of the Cross.
    Warts were cured by rubbing them with chick-weed.
