  2. In Penal Times
    In the olden days the English people were very bitter and hard towards the Irish. They were as cruel as any humans could possibly be. They tried to conquer Ireland and win it for themselves. In Tenekilla, there was a Mass Rock and it was called a 'Druid-altar'. Near it was a church, where infants who were not baptized were buried. I twas called a "Cillín".
    There is a fort in Tinnekilla where a priest hid himself in Penal Times. He was hunted by the English and put to death.
