    Long ago they used to write with a quill out of a wing on a piece of paper.
    The present school is in the townland of Ballyhass was built by Lady Elizabeth O'Neill; she also built Ballygraddy and Liscarrol schools. The above account was given to me by my father, Timothy O'Connor, Coolavaleen.
