On this page

  1. There was a hedge-school in Tureenavouscane (Túirín Bhoiseáin). It was held in a small miserable hovel. The Teacher's name was James Fitzgerald.
    He stayed in various houses and was fed therein.

  2. In years gone by there was a hedge school in Garrison taught by one Miss O'Leary. I can not find out any more about it.
