    they have a feast which is called "eating the gander."
    In my great grandmother's time it was a custom for the wife to sit behind her husband on the horse going to Mass every Sunday. After the marriage there was a wedding which lasted a day and a night, and "straw boys" came to visit the house. They wore clothes made of straw, and came without being invited.
