    One day he sent for the butter. When the priest came he told the man to twist a twig around the handle of the churn, and then he started to pray over it. When the man had finished praying, the hare jumped out of the barrel, and from that day on the man had no trouble with his butter.

    Long ago the farmers around Brinny could make no butter with Kitty the Hare. She milked the cows morning and evening during the Summer months before they were taken from the field. She always left one cow untouched.
