    There were many "Gumbeen" Gumbín shops and they were [?]ever open to rob the country folk and their wealth accumulated quickly & was shamefully got. Thing are got on Tick = credit. Hucksters pedlars & dealers in feathers, horse hair and rags still visit the district

    1/4 and 5/- are not in use now
    Sovereigns & half Sovereigns are not made of gold now.
