  1. Home-made wheaten bread is still used. Long ago the wheat was ground with Querns - these may still be seen.
    Potato-cake & oaten meal bread were used.
    Potato cake potatoes mashed & mixed with flour salt & milk then fried.
    Oaten bread - meal flour salt milk & oaten meal.
    Lusad = Baking dish bastible = oven.
    Oaten meal is baked on a griddle, ie a wire circle on which cake is placed with small ledge of wire at foot to stand on & a wire to support back like leg of standing picture frame. This support is made of iron
