    an awful fright so he sat on the ditch.
    He heard the singing again so he looked into the field and he saw a goat with red flashes coming out of his eyes, he was grinning at him and spitting. Then the man blessed himself and, when he did, the goat gave a roar and disappeared.
    When the man got over the fright, he went away for the priest, but, when he came the person was dead. It was said that the goat was the devil, and that he delayed the man on the road so that the sick person would be dead before the priest would come.
