  1. The name of my home district is Mullen, and its townland is Frenchpark. It is in the barony of Lord de Freyne. There are forty one families dwelling in my village. One hundred and fourteen people live in it. The most common name is McGarry.
    Generally speaking the most of the houses are thatched. There are only six slated houses, and the majority of the houses consist of two rooms and a kitchen.
    Nearly all the houses are white-washed.
