    23 " 11 " 1938.
    The townland in which I live is called Leitrim. It is in the Fairymount district, and in the barony of Frenchpark. The are forty three families in this townland and one hundred and eighty eight people.
    There are four families in it called Creighton, and this is the most plentiful name.
    All the houses are of the low thatched type with the exception of a few which are slated.
    Leitrim must have derived its name from the large amount of stones
