  1. After a wedding the neighbours dress up in straw and come to the house where the newly married people are and they demand to dance with the bride. They are called straw boys.
    Green is supposed to be a very unlucky colour for the bride to wear when she is going away on her honeymoon.
    When the bride and bridegroom are leaving the church the people sometimes tie an old boot on the back of the car for luck.
    Saturday is supposed to be an unlucky day on which to get married.
