    That has me here in Sligo jail
    And took my bit of land

    'Twas on the 11th of July
    All in the dead of night
    The police dragged me out of bed
    A gave to me a fright.

    They did me haul up to Cootehall
    Before the break of day
    And marched me off to Dublin
    Without the least delay

    I was not long in Dublin
    When my trouble day came on
    They marched me like a murderer
