  1. My Grandfather R.I.P. walked to Roscrea to a cattle fair. He left his home at five o'clock in the morning and arrived in Roscrea at nine o'clock that morning which is about twenty miles. He left Roscrea at four o'clock that evening and arrived home at eight that night. He often walked to Mountmellick which is about six miles.
