    Potato cakes were very often made, and a great number of people make them still. On pan-cake night the people make pan-cakes and they sometimes put a ring in them. When milk was scarce the bread had to be made from water.
    They had a little small table with two legs on one side, and the other side built into the wall. The baker was often placed in from of the fire.
