    About eighty years ago there was a curate in Kilnamona named Father Joe Meade.

    devotion during her life. She told him that she never let a day pass without saying a little prayer to her Guardian Angel asking him not to let die without the priest.
    Shortly afterwards she became unconscious and although she was not dead when the other priest came and anointed her, she breathed her last a few minutes afterwards.
    Father Meade is credited with saying that it must have been the woman's "Guardian Angel who urged him to hurry that night. If he had continued his journey the rate at which he left Milltown the woman would have been dead long before he reached Maurice's Mills.
