    the brick was situated near our school. This man also told me he had parts of a hand-loom some time ago and he said that in olden times weaving was done in his home.

  2. In Ireland in olden times there were many different kinds of bread made. One that was made was called stampy.
    This bread was manufactured with oat meal and some flour. This was laid on a bread iorn before the fire until it hardned. Then it was cut into square pieces and then boiled in milk. This was taken to the bog in the evenings and this was called stampy.
