  1. Once upon a time there was a man and he was a great joker. He was always playing tricks on people & he was a great torment to all He played some joke on a Protestant minister who was very angry. The minister decided to put an end to this joking if possible. One day he happened to meet this joker at a dinner. After much sparring between them the minister lured him into making a wager. The wager was: The joker was to steal a sheet from the minister's bed in the night time unknown to the minister. The joker waited until one dark night and then he went to the graveyard & dug up a corpse just buried a day. He got a ladder & put it against the window & lifted the corpse up above his head. He took care to make some noise to attract the minister's attention. He succeeded. The minister heard the noise & awakened his wife & then he reached for his gun. He intended to fire
