There is a weed known as the chickweed. The people long ago in Ireland used it for sprains. This weed is to be found growing through cabbage in the summer time.
The chickweed is boiled first. When it is boiled the juice strained out of it. hen there is a poultice made from the part that is left after boiling.
- Long ago in Ireland before people knew about ointment, they used saint Patrick's cabbage to cure stone bruises an sore feet.
