    at "Tuircín" Point Strabaggan. History records that a man of the neighbourhood was looking on at the whole affair. It is said that when the women saw the storm rising and the waves washing over the boat they all rushed to one side and eventually capsized the boat.
    There are many fabulous stories connected with Lake Allen. It is said to be enchanted and many lives are destined to be lost in time.
