My Home District
My home is in the downland of Lower Rover, in the district of Arigna, in the parish of Kilronan. There are fourteen families int he downland. Most of the houses are thatched. There ae sixty-eight people int he downland. There are four old people living there namely Mrs McPartland, Thomas Flynn, Mrs Christie and Mrs Gilhooley. They do no know any Irish. They don't tell any stories. The most common name is Flynn. People emigrated from here to America in former years. The land is good and fertile. There are no woods or lakes in my downland.
