    Old Bushes - There was a bush in Breens yard called "Tom Breen" Long ago Tom Breen went to a rath and brought a root of a plant out of the rath and sowed it in the yard. The same day he lost an eye.

  2. The names of the fields on my farm are "Farrell's" field, the "Hill", the "Garden", the "Red Gate Field", the "Horse Bush Field", the "Sally Meadow", the "Far Field", the "Bog Field", "The Clover Field".
    "Farrell's Field is so called because a family named Farrell lived in it long ago.
    "The Red Gate Field": A red gate leads into it.
    "The Horse Bush Field": so called because horses were tied to a bush in it in days gone by.
