  1. There is in Ballycomey a big hill. There is supposed to be a hidden treasure there. It is hidden on the top of the hill. One night four men gathered together and they began to dig for it. The names of the men were Johnny Moran, Paddy Brophy and two more. After digging for some time they unearthed a box and as they did so, a fairy appeared to them. The men fled and one left his coat and cap after him. They went home and went to bed. Next morning one of the men was dead and another never arose from his bed until he died.
