    37 years ago, Jim Boylan who lived in Corcahan was coming home from Leonard' public house, drunk when he was passing by a bog hole. He staggered into it and was drowned.
    About 50 years ago, the three-mile-house schoolboys were coming from school. One of the boys went hiding in a bog and when the rest of the boys went to look for him they could not find him. They started to call out but he never appeared to them. They went home to his parents and told them about him. The children and the boy's father and mother went looking behind for him.
