- (continued from previous page)my district were James McGuigan of Aghclay and James Sreenan Corleck. They worked with a stappler and a thatching knife. The material they worked with was tow and straw.
The walls of the houses were built of mud and stone but now they are built of mortar and stone. It is not known how the townland got its name. They are no old people over seventy. The people do not know Irish nor their parents did not. They could not tell any story in Irish but they could in English. The houses were never as plentiful as now. There are not many in ruins. The people went out through a small door that you would have to juke (stoop) under.
Fom my townland people went away to other countries. my town land is not mantioned in any story or song. It is good land and it's all fenced. There are no woods. The tree that is most common is the oak. There are no rivers or streams in it. The way the townland is divided is by(continues on next page)- Collector
