It is said that if a person changes from one house to another on Saturday he will not be long living there _ "Saturday's flit is a short sit."
It is said that the first potatoes should be set on Good Friday.
If it rains on St. Swithin's day it will rain for forty days.
It is said that its unlucky to go beside water on Whit Sunday.
    6. It is supposed that a child born on a Whit Monday is unlucky and in olden times a sod would be placed on the child's head for a short time to take away the unluckyness.
