    the pits are well closed with straw and clay, Some of them are sold, some eaten and the remainder kept for seed.
    The principle potatoes grown are, Kerr's Pinks Arren Banners, Skerries etc. but the chief ones are Kerr's Pinks which grow best and are mostly grown, are the nicest and best potatoes to eat.
