  1. There was a cobbler one time and his wife was sick so he sent for the doctor. The doctor came and examined her. Then he came to the cobbler and said she would not live long. The cobbler said could he cure her, and the doctor said he could but it would take ten pounds. In a few days after the cobbler's wife died and the doctor came for his fee. The cobbler said, Did you kill her? No. Did you cure her. No. Well what do you want I have nothing to give you. Good Morning Doctor.
    One time a carpenter had a hen who ate sawdust and she layed a board 14 ft longer then she layed four more. She hatched them and there came out an Ass's cart, a chair, a stool and table & a dresser.
