    30-11-38 Local Cures.
If a child's father is dead before the child is born he has the cure of the dirty-mouth.
A cure for the chincough is if you meet a person with a pie-ball horse - if you ask him for the cure of chincough he will give something to eat or drink and the chin-cough will soon get better.
If you have a wart go to someone's house and steal a piece of bacon out of it
rub it on the wart and then burn it in the fire and do not tell where you stole the bacon from if you do the wart will not get better. The cure for the measles is to blind the windows and take nettle soup.
If you have the hiccup take a pinch of salt and put it on your tongue
