    It is customary in this country for matches to made. (They) The boy who is to get married goes to the brides house with his blackfoot to have arrangements made with her parents. They would take with them a bottle of whiskey to open up the subject. The people of the house give them a hearty welcome. Then the whiskey is divided, and given to the people of the house. Then they talk about her fortune or dowry. Her parents give her money. If they are not rich enough would get cattle or fowl or whatever her parents might give her to make her new home comfortable.
    It was customary for the couple who was to get married to go to the church and meet. They are married by the priest. After the marriage is over they proceed to the bride's house for a most up-to-date breakfast. It is said that after breakfast is over the couple along
