    the pattern is on top. I would cut through all the thicknesses together with a scissors. I would take a thin hairpin and thread it through the centre of the petals. This also forms the stalk of the flower. I would twist the two wires together and then I would bind them round with a strip of green paper. My mother used make those things in her young days and I do the same now.
    I find great delight in making the dolls and dressing them up in many colours.
