In olden times there lived a man in Curracunane who was very wealthy.

In older times there lived a man in Curracunane who was very wealthy. He had an only daughter who became suddenly ill. Doctors were attending her every day. After some time she died, she was buried in Drimacillen and with her was buried her valuable jewelery. When she was buried as short time a young man who lived nearby decided he would make a fortune on her jewelery. He went that night to her grave and opened it. He opened the coffin and to his great surprise up jumped the lady. Like many other robbers he did not run away. He asked her would she like to go home. She said she would so he carried her home on his back and was highly respected by the parents.
