  1. Thomas McHugh, of Miltown and his father, Peter, used to hackle flax and in later days a modern scutch-mill was working in Drumcliffe but it is closed now but the building still remains.
    Samuel Orame, Drumcliffe, was an expert basket-maker and it is a well known fact - that his baskets were sent to America.
    Michael Gilroy, of Lislahily used to work in the Cooper trade and he supplied all the people in the area with churns and firkins to hold their butter.
    Denis Mulligan, of Mount Edward, was a clever weaver.
