   Doonecoy - Dún an Lachaigh - is to the west of Rathurlisk. here is is said the riders attached to the Chief's house had their fort as the name implies.
   Arkill -Árd Chill - is in the townland of Doonecoy. The old tradition was that here we had the chief church of the Barony. It was also attached to the chief's house. The site of the old church can still be seen in the old Landlord's demesne. Naomh Muipeadhac agus Naumh Maslaire were born in the district and founded Árd Chill in connection with the
