Toothache is very common nowadays, There is a woman the name of Mrs O'Dowd she lives over in "Greenwood," it is situated about a mile and a half from Kilglass school. She has a charm for toothache. The charm is to put tobacco and ginger down on the fire and boil it, along with water.
There are some other thing's too but I do not know what they are. When they are boiled she takes them up and if you have toothache then rinse out your mouth with the water which is turned brown with the tobacco, and immediately the pain goes away.
