  1. "Burke's Gate" is another spot at which a Ghost has been seen on many occasions. A Neighbour of mine was accustomed to pass by the place about midnight, on his way back to Enniscrone from his farm in Kilglass. He told me the following story:-
    One Night as he was on his return home, about midnight he saw, distinctly, standing at the pier, a very tall man dressed in black in the "Evening Dress" of long ago. He wore a tall Hat, white vest and "swallow tailed Coat, shiny patent boots.
